Day #1 A Place I'd Like To Visit

Here we go folks - day #1 of the 30 Days blog challenge. Bit freaked out that it's now November but it's certainly making me start to feel festive! 

#1: A Place I'd Like To Visit

A couple of years ago we went on an amazing adventure to the US doing the route between San Francisco, LA, and Las Vegas (via a few stops on the way including a balloon ride through the Napa Valley). To get from place to place we had a number of long road trips through some amazing scenery and we loved it soo much that we've already planned the next one (convenient for this post me thinks!)

This time starting ok the East Coast - Washington, then onto New York, across to Denver and driving down through the Rocky Mountains to Navada and (you guessed it) Las Vegas. 

We've done a bit of research into how we could do this kind of journey as the US is not a small country - it's not like driving from London to Scotland. One of the options we looked at was Amtrak - it has a certain charm about it, or so we thought. I guess the magic behind an experience is maybe the unexpected and unfortunately as you can now find videos on anything on YouTube we quickly changed our minds about possibly 2/3 days on an Amtrak train. 

The Rockies look amazing though, and we'd certainly want to take a good few days making our way through. Lots of natural springs along the way and amazing scenery (obvs). The route would also allow us to do the Grand Canyon which we didn't get to do last time - it was either that or the Balloon Ride so we went for the more obscure on the basis that we knew we'd probably be back in Navada again some day.

So there you have it - our next big adventure! I'm not sure when it'll happen but be sure that it WILL happen at some point.
